You're waiting for hot water - in the shower, to wash dishes - you know the drill.

Collect the "warming water" (bucket in the shower, pitchers or reused juice bottles by the sink) and put it to use somewhere.  Another tip:  I have ~12 one-gallon jugs (reused juice bottles) full of water in case of emergency.  Might as well use it for this!  They should be rotated periodically - so I empty them to water plants, then re-reuse the jugs by refilling when I'm waiting for hot water to wash the dishes.
