I'm finding finding places to make changes in my life are as simple as watching the words I choose to use and what the intention is behind the words I say. For instance, when I throw something away, I am now aware that it goes somewhere and I acknowledge it. Where is away? Its okay if it goes in the local dump, at least I'm not choosing to be blind about where it goes.
Nothing is disposable and nothing is wasted, it all goes some where and has an effect where it goes. Where does your stuff go? Are you responsible for all the stuff that ever flows through your hands? Its easy to call it waste and throw it all away. But, look closer, what else is it? What is it made out of? Can you take it apart and recycle it?

This is a HUGE point! It doesn't cost a thing to reword your existence. Once you stop using phrases like "throw it away" because you realize there is no "away" it makes thinking about the issues much easier, accessible and helps people around you to get it as well. Also, it makes us think about what we can do with those items we don't need any more in a way that is helpful to us. I find that there are so many times where I would have disposed of something that had I been a little creative about I could have found a perfectly helpful use for in my home or garage. It's about creativity!
